Green Canary Day 2004

On Tuesday 21st September 2004, Canary Wharf held its third Green Canary Day. The theme for the day was docklands and dock life.

As well as exhibitors and stands. Visitors could also take a guided walk around the estate taking in the landscaped areas as well as the ecology of the area. The walk highlighted our water and garden habitats, as well as the more unusual locations for flora and fauna such as the roof-tops of buildings planted with sedum.

Visitors could also view see rafts that have been placed on bodies of water between 25 North Colonnade and 5 Canada Square and between 25 Cabot Square and Little John Frazer, as part of Canary Wharf’s Biodiversity Action Plan. A number of different birds can already be found nesting here such as Canada Geese and Coots
